Chef and restaurateur Michael Peterson is selling his Bellaire-based bistro Lulu’s.
Peterson opened the restaurant in December 2001 and tells The Ticker the sale is simply a matter of him being spread too thin.
“I’m not able to be at the restaurant enough,” he says. “I can’t be on top of it as much as I need to be” as both executive chef and owner.
Peterson’s other ventures include the seven-year-old Siren Hall in Elk Rapids, Antrim Catering and his Anchor Station food truck. He describes Lulu’s as a “turnkey situation” – including the lease, all the equipment and the liquor license.
