Hillside Homestead
Welcome to Our Suttons Bay Farm Stay Inn: Lodging, Dining, Classes at Hillside Homestead, a historic Michigan Farmstay location.
Experience how life was lived over a century ago with a visit to our authentic 1910 farmhouse. Unique accommodations and a delicious home-cooked farm breakfast await you at our historic Suttons Bay lodging with proprietress and food historian Susan Odom.
There are three guest rooms, each with a queen bed and private bathroom. Two of the rooms feature claw foot tubs with showers and the third room has a private sitting room. Every room has an iron bed dressed in crisp linens and soft pillows, rocking chairs, hooked rugs and beautiful pastoral orchard views from every window. Modern conveniences are included, like fans, updated HVAC and wireless internet. Truly a memorable getaway, you won’t even notice that there is no TV or radio when you enjoy our Suttons Bay lodging.
Come down to the kitchen in the morning to start your day with a delicious breakfast hot off the cook stove. You might be tempted by such turn-of-the-century fare as escalloped eggs, bacon, ham, egg toast, graham gems, cinnamon rolls, fresh seasonal fruit, and maybe even fried fish and homemade pork and beans for the adventurous. Help yourself to goodies in the icebox and food safe during your stay! Lodging guests are also welcome to schedule Historic Dinners.
This is a fun and authentic Suttons Bay lodging experience and only minutes from Lake Michigan, Food and Wine Destinations, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Leland and Traverse City.
